Our why!!!

Bringing Heat, Health, and Connection to the Northern Plains

At Aloha Nodak, we believe in the power of heat therapy to heal, restore, and bring people together. Inspired by the deep traditions of sauna culture and a lifelong passion for wellness, our mobile sauna experience is designed to help the people of Grand Forks, ND, and East Grand Forks, MN, embrace health, resilience, and connection in all seasons.

Our Background & Why It Matters

Aloha Nodak was founded by Madison McCue and Oren Long, two individuals passionate about wellness, community, and bringing people together through shared experiences.

Madison, born in Colorado, holds a degree in business and has a professional background in revenue management, customer relations, and vacation rentals. With years of experience in hospitality and strategic growth, she understands how to create experiences people love. Personally, she values yoga and contrast therapy (heat + cold exposure) for mental and spiritual well-being, practices that shape Aloha Nodak’s wellness philosophy.

Oren, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, has been participating in sauna culture his entire life. A former personal trainer with a bachelor’s degree in Community Health, he has spent years helping others achieve their wellness goals. Now living in North Dakota, he is excited to be in a region with rich Scandinavian heritage, where sauna was once a celebrated part of daily life.

Together, we are bringing sauna culture back to the Midwest—not just as a luxury, but as a vital practice for health, resilience, and human connection.

Mission

To create a healthier, happier, and more connected community through the power of heat therapy. We provide an accessible, premium sauna experience that promotes recovery, relaxation, and social connection in the heart of the Midwest.

Why Mobile Saunas?

In a region known for its long, harsh winters, our mobile sauna provides:
-Physical & Mental Health Benefits – Sauna therapy aids in muscle recovery, improves circulation, reduces stress, and boosts overall well-being.
-A Unique Social Experience – Whether post-hockey, post-workout, or a winter evening with friends, saunas bring people together in a way few other activities can.
-A Business Rooted in Community – We aim to collaborate with local gyms, wellness centers, UND athletics, and Indigenous communities to create meaningful wellness partnerships.
